AI Processing of Derived Financial Facts

What this consent covers
With this consent, LowScout may send a limited set of DERIVED facts about your recurring charges to an AI model provider to generate a plain-English summary of your audit. Derived facts means values our deterministic engine already computed: normalized merchant names, amounts, billing cadence, and finding types. We never send your uploaded documents, raw statement text, account numbers, or email address to an AI provider.
What the AI does and does not do
The AI only summarizes and organizes facts that were already computed. Every number you see is calculated by our deterministic engine, and every AI response is checked against those facts before display; a response that references an unverifiable number is blocked and replaced with a plain fact-based summary. The AI never decides what you owe, never estimates savings, and never sees your documents.
Data handling
AI requests are made server-side to the configured model provider under a data processing agreement that prohibits using your data for model training and requires zero retention after processing. Each AI interaction (which facts were sent, the model used, and the validation result) is recorded in your account so you can see exactly what was shared.
Optional and reversible
This consent is optional — every other feature works without it. You can withdraw it at any time from Settings → Data & privacy; withdrawal takes effect immediately and AI summaries stop being generated the moment you withdraw.
